Scholarships

Cal Poly has a wide range of scholarships and information can be found at this web site. Cal Poly Scholarships    The Electrical Engineering Department has a set of industry sponsored major scholarships that are awarded each year.   Continuing students complete a scholarship application from the My Cal Poly Portal available in March for consideration for major-based scholarships.  Major scholarships in Electrical Engineering require an application for each scholarship you would like to be considered for.   

Application Deadline for 2023 is May 20, 2023.

SCHOLARSHIPS

WARREN AND DANTZA ANDERSON EE ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP   $2000

             --Major:  Electrical Engineering  

             --Highest GPAs for current level (spring term) junior, 4^th year in 2021-22 (started Fall 2018 or Fall 2020 if transfer)

             --Student must be making satisfactory academic progress 

 

CHEVRON EE POWER FOCUS - $1900

            --Major: Electrical Engineering, power focus

            --Class level: Sophomore, junior or senior

            --Minimum 3.3 GPA

            --U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident

            --Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to interact with faculty and peers

            --Involvement in technical society/club, energy and technical related internships

 

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP – $1500

            --Grade Level:  Graduate

            --Minimum 3.2 GPA

            --To Electrical Engineering MS student with a minimum 3.2 GPA

 

ALONZO AND DONALD CARRANZA – $2500

            --Grade level: Undergraduate

            --Minimum 2.75 GPA

            --Preference for student from Humboldt or Del Norte counties or from

               Santa Maria Valley, Righetti, Santa Maria or St. Joseph High Schools
