Biography

I am living the dream!

I graduated Cal Poly in December 1982 with a BS ET/EL. The following January I started with Motorola Communications in Foster City, CA. I was with them for 35+ years, implementing Public Safety radio communications systems and supporting customers and technical staff with technical expertise and training.

I jumped at the chance to start a new career teaching at Cal Poly. I love what I do. Working with my bright and experienced colleagues is an honor. But the best part is working with the students. I love facing challenges with them. There is nothing like the satisfaction I get when breakthroughs happen, problems are solved, and students cross the border from learning to application. The students are truly the reason why I do what I do.

Another part of my world here is that I am the EE Technical Services Group coordinator. My staff and I operate the SPL and are available to assist faculty and students.

I cannot be more happy to be here!
