Biography

I am living the dream!

I graduated Cal Poly in December 1982 with a BS ET/EL. The following January I started with Motorola Communications in Foster City, CA. I was with them for 35+ years, implementing Public Safety radio communications systems and supporting customers and technical staff with technical expertise and training.

I supported a wide range of technologies to provide solutions to my customers. Often times, I would write software tools, usually in some form of C, to collect performance data from our systems and aid the customer to configure and use their equipment.

My career came to a close with the completion of the Public Safety 4G Data Communications system in Los Angeles County. June 8th, 2018 was my last day. This enabled me to pursue the long held dream to return to Cal Poly as an instructor and that is exactly what has happened

I cannot be more happy to be here!
